• One-day Faculty Development Programme on “Ethical Guidelines and Good Clinical Practice for Researchers” was organized and held by IEC on 11th January, 2025. Thirty-two participants including Faculty members and Research Scholars from different departments of Allied Health Sciences of Swami Vivekananda University and Vidyasagar University participated in the training program. Two resource persons, Dr. Subhrojyoti Bhowmick, MBBS (Cal) (Gold Medalist), MD (Pharmacology), Certified in Patient Safety (Johns Hopkins University, USA), FISQua (U.K), Professor, Department of Pharmacology, KPC Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, and Dr. Saibal Das, MBBS, MD, DM, Scientist D (Medical), Indian Council of Medical Research - Centre for Ageing and Mental Health, Kolkata, India, were invited for the training program. Certificates were distributed to each of the participants.
  • In the 3rd IEC meeting held on 12th February, 2025, eight project proposals were presented by Ph.D. scholars from different departments for ethical clearance.
  • In the 4th IEC meeting, six project proposals were presented by research scholars of different departments of Swami Vivekananda University for ethical clearance.
  • The 1st meeting of IEC was held on 1st March, 2024, where discussions were held regarding the roles and responsibilities of IEC members, documentation processes, and the need for creating a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • In the 2nd meeting of IEC, the SOP was discussed and approved. Two project proposals were presented for ethical clearance, and a training program on ethical guidelines was proposed.
