Medical support, emergency cover and well-being on campus
Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore, cares about the physical and mental well-being of its students, faculty and staff. It keeps a set of health facilities on campus so that medical help is available promptly and the campus community can live and work in a healthy, safe environment.

- Emergency contact numbers displayed prominently across the campus.
Health Awareness and Preventive Care
- Regular health check-up camps and eye check-up drives, organised as part of social outreach programmes.
- Awareness programmes on nutrition, hygiene, lifestyle diseases and substance abuse prevention, conducted through the NSS and student welfare bodies.
Mental Health and Counselling
- Trained counsellors offer confidential support on academic stress, emotional well-being and personal concerns.
- Mentoring by faculty members, so that problems are noticed early and students get guidance in time.
Fitness and Well-being
- Sports facilities and a gymnasium, along with yoga and fitness sessions, to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.
- Clean drinking water at many points across the campus, and hygienic canteens that are inspected regularly.
The University keeps reviewing and strengthening its health services, so that the whole campus community gets timely, accessible and quality care.
