Admission Procedure:
All eligible candidates will have to appear for the Research Eligibility Test (SVU RET), and if qualified, have to appear for an interview/viva-voce to be conducted by the respective Departmental Research Committee for admission in the Ph.D Course Work.
Exemption to Research Eligibility Test (SVU-RET):
Candidates having valid score/rank in NET/SET/SLET/GATE/JEST/DST-INSPIRE/DBT-JRF/M.Phil. are exempted from appearing in Research Eligibility Test(SVU RET).
Research Eligibility Test (SVU-RET) :
Research Eligibility Test and Interview will be conducted for the selection Process among eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D Course Work.
SVU-RET will be of 100 marks. Total duration of the Test will be 03(three hours). SVU-RET will have two parts of 50 marks each.
Part-I will be on Research Aptitude and Basic Computer Knowledge having 25MCQ of 02(two) mark each. This half will be known as Common Research Aptitude Test.
Part-II will be subject oriented.
Interview:
Every qualified candidate in SVU-RET and the candidates exempted from SVU-RET will have to appear in Interview/ Viva Voce. The Interview will be conducted by the respective Board of Research Studies of the Department.
